This challenging project required maximizing retail space and parking on a tight site for this popular local boutique grocer. LRS analyzed options for above grade parking, subgrade parking and for retail above on-grade parking, with ground level access. Ultimately, on-grade retail with structured parking above was accommodated with ramp access to the rear.

Two dramatic stair towers anchor the development, providing activated corners that will glow at night. Ramp access is provided on one side street, while receiving is on the next side street, with curb-side loading. Suspended metal canopies provide enclosure for pedestrians and shoppers. The elevations include a long brick wall with featured signs, wall sconces, and tiled panels. A “living wall” with integral trellis and live plantings highlight one side, emphasizing the sustainable policies of New Seasons Market.
