This 32,000 SF flagship store for the Portland area appliance chain was designed to meet the specific requirement of the program and site while providing a prototype image for future stores and improvements. The new facility is sited close to the front property line as required by zoning, and was designed to create a commanding presence on the street.

The project structure is an economical metal building, with honed concrete block walls and standing seam metal roof. The front of the building and entry feature a heavy timber canopy providing a warm and inviting approach. Stone panels are inset into the walls to accent the window openings. A clerestory at the top of the roof brings daylighting into the retail space. The interior design features kitchen vignettes, a large stone fireplace, retail displays and a home theater simulation.
