Port of Tillamook Bay

Tillamook, Oregon

The Port of Tillamook Bay Campus Wide Project includes the design of multiple new buildings as well as renovation and upgrades to several existing buildings. The project is a result of funding awarded by FEMA for alternate projects after a winter storm in 2007. The project is also utilizing State of Oregon Lottery Bonds matching funds which carry strict requirements on timelines for completion of projects.

New projects include a multi-building Airport Business Park, a multi-building Industrial Warehouse Park, three executive hangars, a new Fixed Base Operator building (FBO), a Port Shops facility, and a Truck/RV storage facility.

Renovations to 12 existing buildings include exterior envelope maintenance, new roofs and some re-roofs (including a re-roof of the historic blimp hangar), mechanical and electrical upgrades, and interior renovations that will improve building conditions for tenants.

Originally built as a Naval Air Station in the early 1940’s, much of the Port property is within a potential historic district. In addition to the blimp hangar, several of the existing buildings slated for renovation are also candidates for historic designation. Strict historic guidelines must be adhered to for not only the renovation work to these buildings, but also any projects within the proposed historic district.
