Sustainability

LRS' leadership in the field of sustainability demonstrates our commitment to the integrity of our environment. Our Hillsboro Civic Center is designed to be the first Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified City Hall in the country. The adidas Village project received PGE's Earth Advantage™ designation for its massive recycling efforts aided by the LRS interior architecture team. Recently LRS was awarded the 'Distinguished Member' designation by BRAG (Business Recycling Awards Group) for the City of Portland which is based on leadership in the areas of waste prevention, recycling, and purchasing recycled products.

Sustainable design does not need to be expensive, and we are experts at combining unique design and environmental integrity within desired budgets. LRS has five LEED Accredited Professionals including Principal, Trish Nixon, who is also a certified Sustainable Building Advisor and heads the LRS Green Committee.
