Lauded by the Portland Business Journal as the Community Impact Project of the Year in 2016 at the Commercial Real Estate Awards.
Recipient of a 2015 DeMuro Award for historic preservation.
Part of the revitalization of the River District Urband Renewal Area, and the Old Town/Skidmore Historic Area, the Erickson Fritz Apartments was a renovation of two buildings to create 62 affordable mixed-income apartments. Originally constructed in 1912, the Erickson Saloon had fallen into disrepair. Special attention was paid to preserving historic pieces of the building, such as the original wood floors, ornate cornices, and original beams and studs.
The project was awarded an Earth Advantage Gold Certification.
