The Timberland Town Center in the Cedar Mill area, features six “shop” buildings and one, 43,000 square foot anchor grocery store, along with a public plaza. The center was designed to focus on openness and walkability. Timber frame structures with large overhangs shelter shoppers from the elements and provide opportunities for outdoor seating.

LRS was challenged with a very tight project delivery schedule. A sloping site with limited access points and an existing road system infrastructure further complicated the project.  The solution was a “main street” site planning approach with vehicle and pedestrian pathways, and meaningful outdoor spaces.
